The first game of the contest between champion, Viswanathan Anand and challenger Veselin Topalov will be in Sofia, Bulgaria on 23rd April less than a fortnight from now. The players are evenly matched with Topalov leading by just one point in their forty-four game series at classic time controls. It is a relative short match with only twelve games and if the players finish all-square, tie-breakers will be held on 12th May.

My bold prediction is that ... there will be no Sicilian, Grunfeld or King's Indian Defences unless one of them falls behind and must win.
