John Quinn, our president and a former British under 21 champion takes on challengers on Thursday September 9th starting at 7.45pm. Yes, it is mainly for Ealing club members but traditionally we have accepted outsiders who might be thinking about joining us or newcomers just looking for a good game at a chess club.

As always at Ealing it is a free event and a great opportunity to gain experience facing a strong player.

I didn't get where I am today without facing Svetozar Gligoric in a simultaneous display in 1963.
