Still smarting from our opening defeat in the second division of the Thames Valley League, we drew with Maidenhead tonight in a well contested match.

Good victories by John Harvey and our board one gave us a two-nil advantage but Maidenhead fought back to level the match. Simon Healeas, short of time wisely agreed a draw in a better position. Sadly we went down on board six but James Pack held his nerve to win a piece before bringing home the bacon in a time scramble.
