This year’s U160 championship attracted 6 entrants: Dominika Ociepka (who won the 2010 U130 championship), Alastair Johnstone, John Harvey, Raj Jhooti, Dale Gibbons, and Simon Healeas. The tournament was won easily by Alastair who scored four and a half points out of five. His play was quite simply a cut above the rest; the tournament representing a fitting end to an excellent season. John proved to be extremely resourceful, turning around a couple of ‘lost’ games to secure the full point. As for the rest, we look forward to better results in the year ahead.
