We admit that the fixture at Ealing, two days after the New Year looked a home banker for us, particularly as Metropolitan had been pointless in the 2007 part of the season. However as an old sage might put it what matters is the moves not the stars.
It was no surprise that Sainbayar Tserendorj's commitment in search for victory was unswerving but his captain's support was a shock so two victories for Ealing, lucky or otherwise were surprising. On this occasion our tail failed to wag although the players will have gained invaluable experience on clawing the hardest yards.
The other four games were drawn but Ealing must admire the tremendous efforts of Chris Greenshields to win on board six and congratulate Metropolitan's captain for keeping him out.
