Hayes and Ealing gave a proposal for quickplay finishes on a year's trial in divisions one and two their best shot last night but our efforts were to no avail.

After much debate there were separate votes for quickplays on odd boards in division one and division two. The proposal for division one resulted in six votes for and five against but because this did not reach the two-thirds majority demanded by the constitution it did not pass. The second divison proposal was unsuccessful.
