Ealing lie 2nd in Division One of the Middlesex League

King's Head are miles ahead but after seven of our fourteen games we are joint second with Hackney.

The job of course is only half done because over the next two months we have five testing away fixtures in a row. The first of these is at Imperial College this Wednesday and our opponents must be smarting from a crushing 7-1 loss to Hackney on 16th January.

Ealing are the only side to gain even half a point against all-conquering King's Head, captained by Rick McMichael but before we make assumptions, let's remember it is the self-same Ealing who were lucky to share the spoils earlier this month with Metropolitan who are rock bottom of the league table.

Table

1. King's Head 7.5 from 8

2-3. Hackney 4.5 from 6

2-3. Ealing 4.5 from 7

4. Athenaeum 4 from 7

5. West London 3 from 7

6-7. Hendon 2 from 6

6-7 Imperial 2 from 7

8. Metropolitan 0.5 from 8
