Matthew Sadler and Natasha Regan Talk

Over the years Ealing Chess Club has been privileged to welcome some of the game's most noted figures. This tradition was continued last Thursday when we played host to a visit from GM Matthew Sadler and WIM Natasha Regan. Following some themes taken from their award-winning book Chess for Life, Matthew and Natasha entertained a packed club room with a series of talks. Matthew then took on a crazy challenge in the form of a blitz simul, playing eight opponents at a time with five minutes on the clock. Inevitably there were some oversights and some of our juniors went home with a smile on their face. Overall however, Mathew's performance was quite breath-taking. The evening was a resounding success and was enjoyed by one and all. Some pictures of the event can be found on the club's Facebook page.
