Captains Comment
Ealing Juniors secured a resounding win against the senior side in this season's opener.
With an average rating of 187 this was probably as strong a line-up as any Ealing have fiekded in the past.
Kudos to John and Michael who prevented a total rout with wins on boards two and four, but elswhere the juniors were irresistible. Phil and Alan were ground down in endgames. Simon too survived to the endgame graciously allowed Haotian to complete his mating manouevre in a hopeless poitsion. Jason dropped a piece early and I messed-up from a promising position out of the opening. All-in-all not a good night but, if the juniors can field this line-up consistently they will be in the mix for honours come the end of the campaign
